Timmy Davis is President of Irth Capital Management LP, bringing nearly three decades of leadership at the highest levels of the U.S. government, military, and international diplomacy. A former U.S. Marine and career Senior Foreign Service member with the rank of Minister-Counselor, he served as U.S. Ambassador to the State of Qatar from 2022 to 2025.

During his distinguished diplomatic career, Ambassador Davis was a trusted advisor to three U.S. Secretaries of State, serving as Executive Assistant to Secretaries Mike Pompeo and Antony Blinken and Special Assistant to Secretary Hillary Clinton. He held senior overseas posts including U.S. Consul General in Basra, Iraq, and assignments in Guatemala City; Najaf, Iraq; Canberra, Australia; and Bogotá, Colombia. Domestically, his roles included Director for Iraq at the National Security Council, Chief of Staff to the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Senior Advisor to the State Department Counselor, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Special Presidential Envoy to Counter-ISIL, and Acting Chief of Staff of the State Department.

Ambassador Davis is the recipient of the Distinguished Honor Award, multiple Superior and Meritorious Honor Awards, the Ryan C. Crocker Award for Outstanding Leadership in Expeditionary Diplomacy, and the William R. Rivkin Award for Constructive Dissent.

A native of Virginia who calls New Orleans home, Ambassador Davis attended the University of Alabama and served nearly a decade in the United States Marine Corps. He speaks Spanish and Arabic.
